Random Number Generator is a free tool that can produce sequences of numbers that generate random numbers within a specified range and quantity, with the option to customize the type and order of the result. A Random Number Generator can generate one or more random numbers within the given specified command. Random number generators can be either hardware-based (using physical processes like atmospheric noise) or software-based (using algorithms to generate pseudo-random numbers).

  • Lower Limit: This is the minimum value for the random numbers to be generated. For example, if the user inputs 2 as the lower limit, the generated random numbers will be above 2, not less than 2.
  • Upper Limit: Input the maximum value for the random numbers. For instance, if the user sets the upper limit to 10, the generated random numbers will not exceed 10.
  • Generate Numbers: Specify the number of random numbers to generate. If the user chooses to generate 5 random numbers, the tool will produce 5 random numbers within the specified range.
    Example: Generate Numbers Up To = 2, 5, 4, 6, 10
  • Type of Result to Generate: Choose between generating integers or decimal numbers. The generated numbers will be whole numbers for integers, while for decimals, they will include fractional parts.
    Example: If Integer: 2, 5, 4, 6, 10
    Example: if Decimal: 2.5, 5.2, 7.2, 8.1, 9.99
  • Sort the Result: Select whether to sort the generated numbers in ascending order, descending order, or leave them in a random order. For instance, if the user selects ascending order, the generated numbers will be arranged from the smallest to the largest.
  • Display Result: Choose to display the results either vertically or horizontally. This determines how the generated numbers will be presented to the user.
